Abstract

The Kripnas (Rice Chips) business is a social entrepreneurship model that combines economic, social, and environmental values in a single sustainable business unit. This product processes leftover rice into a snack with market value, with the aim of reducing food waste while empowering the surrounding community. This paper aims to analyze Kripnas' sustainability strategy from three main aspects: economic, social, and environmental, using a triple bottom line approach. Data were obtained from the MBKM internship report of the Entrepreneurship Study Program, Bukit Pengharapan Christian Institute of Technology and Business (2025). The results of the community service show that Kripnas has high potential to become a sustainable business model in the local food sector. Its success lies in operational efficiency, community collaboration, product innovation, and awareness of environmental issues. Recommendations are provided in the form of strategies to improve legality, product diversification, and digital marketing to support long-term sustainability.
